通用电气orge D. Szigeti is President and CEO of the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority, the agency responsible for marketing initiatives to support tourism for the State of Hawai‘i. HTA’s objective is to optimize the benefits of tourism, Hawai‘i’s leading industry, while also being attentive to the interests of travelers, the visitor industry and general public. George has brought an energized vision to HTA, encouraging innovation and utilization of technology to expand Hawai‘i’s reach to global travelers, especially millennials. A priority for George is showcasing the authenticity and diversity of Hawai‘i’s culture and natural resources. George’s business philosophy seeks collaboration and partnerships supporting the greater good for all instead of individual interests. It is an approach he has honed during a three-decade business career in Hawai‘i as an executive for organizations with a statewide reach. George and his wife Sandra live in Honolulu and have a daughter, Alexis, who lives and works in the Bay Area of California.
